editProposed new notability template
editExisting template:
The topic of this article may not meet the general notability guideline.
Please help to establish notability by adding reliable, secondary sources about the topic. If notability cannot be established, the article is likely to be merged, redirected, or deleted. |
New template:
Think this article is useful? Help us out by adding reliable, secondary sources! (Unsourced information is eventually deleted because we take it as an indication that nobody cares about it.) |
The tone might be too informal, but overall I think the message is more clear and agreeable. Instead of arguing over whether something "has value," it frames the discussion on the importance of sources.
Some of the links were not included because I didn't think they were that important and they hindered understanding IMHO. They could be preserved if it is thought they are necessary.
Peak Wikipedia
editThe growth of Wikipedia, in terms of the numbers of articles and of contributors, appears to have peaked around early 2007.[1] Are you prepared for the day we run out of new articles? Act now to protect this scarce, non-renewable resource!
