Qais Kadhim Haj al-Janabi (Arabic: قيس كاظم الجنابي) is an Iraqi critic,[1] researcher, writer, and author, a genealogist and manuscript editor. He was born in the city of Jurf al-Sakhr in 1951.[1] He began writing in 1976. He studied at Al-Musayyab Secondary School for Boys and graduated in 1972. He holds a bachelor’s degree in the Arabic language from the College of Arts at the University of Basra in 1976,[2] and holds a master’s degree in documents and manuscripts from the Institute of Arab History in 1999, then he obtained a doctorate in intellectual heritage from the institute.
