Dmitry Nikolayevich[3][4] Kuznetsov (Russian: Дми́трий Никола́евич Кузнецо́в; born 10 February 1993), better known by his stage name Husky (Russian: Хаски), is a Russian rapper from Ulan-Ude. His music is known for its use of somber lyrics, complex rhyme schemes, assonance, and alliteration[5][6][7] On November 18, 2018, Husky was arrested and jailed for 12 days in Russia under charges of "petty hooliganism" and refusing to take medical tests, which major social and political figures in the country, including Aleksei Navalny, argued were part of a larger state-led attempt to censor free speech.[8]

He was raised in the Vostochny microraion of Ulan-Ude, to which he later devoted the song "Поэма о Родине" (Poema o Rodinye/Poem about Motherland).
