The University Teachers' Network of Bangladesh is a coalition of Bangladeshi academics established in 2014.[1] While it initially focused on educational issues, it later became a key advocate for constitutional and institutional reforms in the country's governance.[2][3][4][5] The organization includes academics from both public and private universities, as well as those based abroad.[1] Digital technology, particularly social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp, has played a crucial role in facilitating their coordination and activism.[1] The organization also played a key role in the mass uprising in Bangladesh on 5 August 2024.[1]
