Tykhe, Chuhuiv Raion, Kharkiv Oblast

Tykhe (Ukrainian: Тихе; Russian: Тихое) is a village (selo) in Chuhuiv Raion (district) in Kharkiv Oblast of eastern Ukraine, located 60.48 kilometres (37.58 mi) northeast by east (NEbE) of the centre of Kharkiv city, about 4.09 kilometres (2.54 mi) south of the Russia–Ukraine border. It belongs to Vovchansk urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine.

History

The settlement was founded in 1670.

Russian invasion of Ukraine 2022

The village came under attack by Russian forces during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in June 2024.[2]

Demographics

As of the 2001 Ukrainian census, the settlement had 163 inhabitants, whose native languages were 65.85% Ukrainian, 32.32% Russian, 0.61% Belarusian, 0.61% Bulgarian and 0.61% Polish.[1]
