Tripodes or Vivlos (Greek: Τρίποδες) is one of the largest village is located to southwestern naxos.[1] It is located the southwest beach road of the island, about 8 km from Chora and Plaka beach.[1] The street of the village is paved and narrow.[1] More than 800 people live in this village and they are permanent resisdents And it is a populous village in Naxos.[1]

History

The inhabitants of Tripodes were once compelled to relocate due to threats from Aegean Sea pirates. Today, Tripodes is one of the most populous villages in Naxos, with a resident population exceeding 800. The village is characterized by its paved streets and windmills. Its economy benefits from the fertile plains of Plaka, which support the cultivation of Naxos potatoes, vegetables, barley, and vines.[1][2]
