Titina Medeiros

Titina Medeiros (born 1 September 1977) known by the stage name of Izabel Cristina de Medeiros is a Brazilian theater and television actress.

Biography

Born in Currais Novos, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, she moved to Acari early and began her scenic studies at the age of 19. Her theater debut was as a fairy in Sleeping Beauty, in 1992 directed by Jesiel Figueiredo. Between 1996 and 1998, she was part of Grupo Tambor de Teatro, by João Marcelino, with whom she staged O Príncipe do Barro Branco. In 2012, she completed 16 years of artistic career, largely during this period, with plays in Shakespeare's Clowns company, where she played countless characters, such as the award-winning Peça Sua Incelência, Richard III, in which she plays the role of Queen Elizabeth, as well as Dos Prazeres e dos Pedaços, Muito Barulho Por Quase Nada, Roda Chico, among others.[3] [4] In 2003, she participated in the Brasil Total show on Fantástico.[5] In 2007, alongside Quitéria Kelly, she created O Grupo Carmin, which resulted in the production of the play Pobres de Marré.

In 2012, she was invited by new authors Filipe Miguez and Izabel de Oliveira to join the cast of the new 7pm soap opera, in Cheias de Charme. The actress accepted the invitation and plays her first villain in her career on Rede Globo, being the clumsy Socorro, assistant to Chayenne (Cláudia Abreu).[6] [7] Even so, according to the actress, Socorro is not the main villain of the plot, she is just a villain with a comical tone.[8] [9] [10] [11] In 2013, the actress was chosen to join the cast of Saramandaia. However, the actress turned down the role to dedicate herself to theater.[12] [13] Since 2013, he has been at the theater festival O Mundo Inteiro É um Palco, event of Clowns de Shakespeare..[14] In 2014, she returned to partner with authors Filipe Miguez and Izabel de Oliveira and returned to the 7pm slot, in Geração Brasil, playing the comic waxer Marisa.[15] [16] [17] [18] In 2016, she debuted in prime time, playing the passionate Ruty Raquel in A Lei do Amor, playing a romantic partner with Antonio, Pierre Baitelli's character.[19] [20] In 2018, she performed in the show she created, Meu Seridó and was part of the cast of the superseries Onde Nascem os Fortes, as prisoner Bethânia, who shares a secret about Cássia, played by Patrícia Pillar.[21]
