Should the current Commonwealth flag be used for a list of pre-Commonwealth colonial governor's of the Virginia Colony? Perhaps a royal shield or flag would be more appropriate? VirginiaProp 18:48, 15 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you know of any pre Commonwealth flag then you are welcome to change it. T Rex | talk 00:14, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
There is a not a flag, but there are several versions of the Seal of the Colony of Virginia. The problem is that there is a Virginia Company seal before 1624 that is substantially different than the Royal Colony seal used later. I have a couple of versions I found off the web, but I need to find some that can be uploaded without attribution problems. VirginiaProp 01:06, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
If they are that old then they should most certainly be in the public domain by now. T Rex | talk 01:31, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Found and done: the Library of Congress had microfilm scans of some old proclamations issued in the late 18th century which had the Virginia Coat of Arms on it (as used by these Governors), which is now gracing the infobox! Morgan Riley (talk) 18:36, 26 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
