{{edit request}} In line with what I recently wrote on the {{uw-paid1}} talk page and with other light rewording, this page should be edited to read as follows:

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake regarding one or more Wikipedia topics. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can make such a disclosure on your user page at User:Uw-paid2, and you can use the template {{Paid}} for this purpose by editing your user page and typing {{paid|user=Uw-paid2|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}} and saving the page. Please respond to this warning before making any additional edits to Wikipedia.

The code for this revision is here:

...Also, this removes the bolded typeface of the blue-linked text for the WMF— the warning does not need this additional emphasis: it's a warning, and anyone old enough to be getting paid probably doesn't need this part emphasized. Additional rewording to make the how-to instructions easier to follow. KDS4444 (talk) 20:41, 11 September 2017 (UTC)

I've added in that the editing remains undisclosed. Large numbers of who we are dealing with, sadly, need some boldface. Half their posts are in all caps. I did leave out though, screaming, crimson-colored, large text, all caps followed by multiple exclamation points in the passage.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 22:53, 29 September 2017 (UTC)

Template-protected edit request on 1 December 2020

Change to below so if a user jumps to the second warning, it will be less awkward for the recipient.

Your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Uw-paid2, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Uw-paid2|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Again, failure to do so is considered a violation of Wikimedia's terms of service.

So you're basically proposing to remove the first three words ("As previously advised"), yes? If so, that seems reasonable, but since it's a major warning template I'll wait for other opinion(s). Primefac (talk) 14:00, 1 December 2020 (UTC) (please do not ping on reply)
Primefac, Firestar646, the template still contains Again, failure to do so, so that would have to be cut as well. I'm not sure how necessary this change is; the way I usually use this template series is by just skipping either paid2 or paid3. I think 4 warnings is too many for this, but I don't see a particular advantage of not starting out at uw-paid1. Blablubbs|talk 13:48, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. Fair point re: the second sentence. This is reasonably complex enough (and it is part of a series) that I'm going to mark this as requiring consensus first. No prejudice against re-opening this request if and when that happens.
