Distinction between public and private higher education institutions

edit

Although I can see why it feasible to maintain the distinction between public and private higher institutions, the Act relating to Universities and University Colleges in Norway is a common law for both these forms of ownership. The same goes for the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (NOKUT). The way it stands today is pre 2005 and should not be the main way of categorising the institutions. I suggest that the template is adjusted so that the the categories are mainly categorised according to academic type of institution, and not ownership. --JAJ (talk) 04:06, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

UMB and NTNU?

edit

Wouldn't it be more correct to list them as unis, not as "spes college" ? Bearing in mind that NTNU offers everything from nano tech to performing arts.. Uni for life sciences still doesn't offer as much as the proper unis, but they did legally change their statues from college to uni a couple years ago (disputed wheter or not Agder, Stavanger and Ås are worthy)..
