Actual gauge in mm

edit

One can not enter the actual value of 1520mm without loosing the link to broad gauge. Can this be fixed? Peter Horn 01:21, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Badly-designed template

edit

This template does not currently display at Trans-Siberian Railway, because the template transclusion limit at that article is exceeded. The wiki software cannot handle so many transclusions at once. The problem is partly caused by the large number of templates transcluded in this template, which is itself transcluded at the article: each transclusion within the transclusion adds to the template load. Is there any technical way to fix this besides removing some information from the template? Though I wouldn't object removing smaller cities from the list. This template is good at providing a high level view "Moscow-Vladivostok" with major cities, boundaries, rivers and crossing. A more detailed view could be provided through additional schemes for individual segments of the railway. Salmin (talk) 18:44, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
More at Talk:Trans-Siberian Railway. Take care, this topic is in discussion in multiple places. -DePiep (talk) 20:47, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
I just created {{Trans-Siberian Railway (overview)}}, that has ~250 minor stations (= diagram rows) removed. The article now shows OK. However, the also new List of stations along the Trans-Siberian Railway (that should have this big template only) still does not show (too big). Need another look. (the template page shows OK, but the transcluding on an article page would fail???). -DePiep (talk) 20:47, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
