Please change "REPTILIA" with "Aves"

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. I'm a few years out from university Latin but doesn't aves mean "birds"? A Traintalk 14:20, 4 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
This is the node for "Reptilia". There's another one for "Aves" at Template:Taxonomy/Aves. What are you trying to do? The main point of this is taxoboxes: what change are you trying to affect at what article? ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 05:37, 7 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

My understanding is that the common raven does not come under the class of Reptilia. Their class should be Aves, which is stated above 'Reptilia' in the table on the page. However, if I am wrong, I accept this and would like an explanation as to why. Thank you. Vandesse (talk) 12:08, 28 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

To editors Vandesse and Nyuszika7H: Noted is the fact that the problem lies at {{Taxonomy/Aves}}, not in this template. In the Aves template, two classes are given, "Aves" and "Reptilia", and from a scientific viewpoint, it tries to show that birds are indeed (in the taxonomic structure or "Tree of Life") descended from dinosaurs and therefore descended from reptiles. A discussion is ongoing at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Tree of Life#Reptiliae or Aves? to try to resolve this confusing set of circumstances.  Paine  u/c 18:28, 1 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
