Can the parent taxon be changed to Mandibulata?--Iezer (talk) 09:13, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{Edit template-protected}} template. This does not appear to be an uncontroversial request. – Jonesey95 (talk) 18:40, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Can |always_display=yes be added to this? I think it probably warrants it. Sailor Ceres (talk) 19:58, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Sailor Ceres:, that would result in Pancrustacea being displayed on articles for e.g. every insect species. Do you really think that is a good idea? I don't. Plantdrew (talk) 22:05, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Plantdrew Good point. I was actually just trying to find a way to get it to display on Diplura, Protura, and Springtail. Any idea how I could get that to work? Sailor Ceres (talk) 22:07, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Sailor Ceres: Ok, those are indeed articles where it would be reasonable to display Pancrustacea. You can accomplish that by adding a display_parents parameter to each of those. Add "| display_parents = 2" (without the quotes) to the taxoboxes, preferably placed immediately above the taxon parameter (parameter order doesn't technically matter, but it is more convenient for future editors if the parameters are placed in a mostly consistent order). @Plantdrew Thank you so much! Sailor Ceres (talk) 22:21, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
