No subject edit

The paraphyly of genus Australopithecus with respect to genus Homo (not the other way around) is actually a foregone conclusion. See e.g. [1][2] and [3]. Suggestions?

Whether or not this is the scientific consensus doesn't affect the placement of the genus Homo as currently defined. If there's a consensus in future to expand the circumscription of Homo to include species currently placed in Australopithecus, then the parent of Homo could change, I guess. We'll have to see. Add subtribe clade Hominina edit

I'd like to suggest that we add the subtribe clade Hominina that includes the Homo genus and our extinct relatives the Australopithicine. 193.115.83.189 (talk) 23:03, 19 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not done Given that your edit to Hominina was reverted this is apparently controversial. * Pppery * it has begun... 22:08, 7 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
