• Regarding the inline references, this is used to avoid external links per WP:EL. The usage of the template should be clear from the instructions and should never occur below a {{reflist}} element. Since the usage is fairly well contained to Gene Wiki article, this should not be difficult to enforce. AlexanderPico (talk) 19:40, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately, the template is already transcluded below reflists too often, because this is a common WP practice. Materialscientist (talk) 23:34, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
