Proposed stations

edit

I don't think it makes sense to add Nanterre and Val-de-Fontenay here just because they are mentioned - without a source - in the article. Those extensions have been envisionned for years, but no precise proposal is currently made. In any case, there is little chance they will open before 2025. This kind of far-off prospect may be interesting to mention in the article, but really sounds too vague to be included on the main map.--Superzoulou (talk) 23:19, 19 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

My source is cartometro.com. Since les Ateliers de Fontenay have existed for almost 80 years they should be included, and as far as the other two stations, I don't believe in removing information. Useddenim (talk) 04:40, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Yes you're right about the Ateliers de Fontenay, sorry about that. However http://cartometro.com/cartes/metro-paris is nothing like a source. Not that it is a bad map, but what we need are official proposals, or at the very least, informal statements by people in position to influence the project. Adding highly uncertain projects makes it much harder to sustainably maintain the page. Take List of tallest buildings and structures in the Paris region, it was formerly a featured list, but some people added almost every vague proposal that was made. We ended up with a page of much lower quality, containing hosts of abandoned projects that were supposed to be "approved".--Superzoulou (talk) 06:39, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
As I live in New York (although have visited Paris quite a number of times), I have to accept information from sources such as cartometro.com on good faith, so I will defer to your judgement on this. Useddenim (talk) 15:13, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Ok thanks. --Superzoulou (talk) 08:12, 21 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
