Template talk:MultiLicenseWithCC-BySA-Any

Adjusted version of template edit

At the moment this template uses a table markup that doesn't quite work (in IE6 at least) and looks like this:

Multi-licensed with any Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike License
I agree to multi-license my text contributions, unless otherwise stated, under the GFDL and the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike license draft version 1.0 and version 2.0 and the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share-Alike license version 2.0. Please be aware that other contributors might not do the same, so if you want to use my contributions under the Creative Commons terms, please check the CC dual-license and Multi-licensing guides.

MultiLicenseWithCC-BySA-AnyMultiLicenseWithCC-BySA-Any

I don't know whether it's poor markup at fault or IE's implementation of css etc, but in any case I didn't like the accidental-looking asymmetric pictures or the badly wrapped heading, so I've made this version for my user page, which also simplifies the markup:

If anyone with admin powers likes it better, please feel free to paste it into the main template! But please leave me a message if you do so I can re-link my page to the proper one :-)

2.5 edit

It states any version, but also links to 1.0 and 2.0. I think 2.5 should be mentioned in the same way. Cristan 15:53, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

3.0 was recently released as well. See {{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-3.0}} (talk) PaulC/T+ 05:07, 18 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

SVG edit

Perhaps we could use The SVG image. Cristan 15:55, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

3.0 edit

The template name contains the word "any", so shouldn't the template itself? Currently it just says 1.0 and 2.0. — Omegatron 01:45, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wikimedia licensing update edit

{{editprotected}} Please replace the text under the [http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html GFDL] in this template with under [[WP:Copyrights|Wikipedia's copyright terms]], per meta:Licensing update/Result. Thanks. Anomie 11:49, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Strange template edit

This seems to be a strange template in that it says "I agree to multi-license my text contributions, unless otherwise stated, under"... "the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike license draft version 1.0 and version 2.0 and the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share-Alike license version 2.0". Isn't that contradictory? The Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike license 2.0 and the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share-Alike license version 2.0? don't seem compatible since one restricts use to non-commercial and the other doesn't. I would appreciate any help in understanding this issue. Adambro (talk) 11:00, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Protected edit request on 26 July 2021 edit

I request that this template be moved to Category:Wikipedia copyright templates. It doesn't belong in Category:Copyright user templates it should only be for userboxes. Catfurball (talk) 18:06, 26 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Protected edit request on 9 June 2023 edit

Please change "draft version 1.0 and version 2.0 and the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share-Alike license version 2.0." to "version 1.0 and 2.0, and the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share-Alike license version 2.0." This prevents a MOS:SEAOFBLUE situation and makes it easier to read. Thanks! Frostly (talk) 03:19, 9 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Done hope that I did that write. You did omit the word "draft" possibly intentionally. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 12:22, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
