bgcolor issues

edit

The template needs to account for an empty (i.e. not omitted) bgcolor parameter. If someone copies the template prototype, they're most likely to leave fields blank, not remove them completely, and this was causing the default background (#eee) color not to be used.

The usual way to fix this is to use the #if parserfunction, but this seems to be causing a newline or something, so that the '#' in any filled-in bgcolor parameter is interpreted as wiki-markup for an ordered list. I'm not sure why this is happening, and I'm not sure if the standard workarounds (using named colors, for one) work in this case, since the template is meant to support hex-coded colors. I'm trying a few fixes. The template isn't widely-used, and the bgcolor even less so, so hopefully my messing around won't have a major impact... --Fru1tbat (talk) 21:17, 15 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed change

edit

I recommend adding an "awards" field to the template to summarize recognition for a broadcasting career. For example, Gemini Awards, Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award, etc. Any comments? Flibirigit (talk) 00:24, 20 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
