"alma mater" vs. "educated at" edit

Can we change "alma mater" in the Member of Parliament infobox to "educated at"? I had to look up "alma mater" to see what it meant and I want to save other people from having to. However I've never edited infoboxes and I'm worried I'll mess them up if I do it myself. (Chorleypie (talk) 18:07, 30 January 2008 (UTC))Reply

The {{Infobox MP is not working for candidates that run under multiple parties.

In particular MP George Galloway was Labor but is now Respect and maybe SNP. The party lable does not admit for party2 party3 ect.Geo8rge (talk)

elected vs position when elected edit

there still seems to be no distinction between dates and periods elected and time periods of position taken/appointed to once elected. some sub class of 'office' http://dbpedia.org/page/Brian_Cowen —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lostexpectation (talkcontribs) 00:21, 8 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nominee/Candidate edit

Those infoboxes should be abolished, as infoboxes should be for the political office 'only'. GoodDay (talk) 03:51, 2 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I think you should move this discussion to the main template talk page. --Philip Stevens (talk) 14:09, 2 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Different example for congressman edit

Would it be possible to change the example for the Congressman template? I need to refer to it from time to time and there are many other congressmen we could use to exemplify the office other than one who is an admitted child abuser. Plandu (talk) 02:40, 29 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

McCain as example for US Senator edit

Should we change the example for US Senator since McCain is no longer the incumbent? Or just update the example to reflect his death? Rbcshw (talk) 01:14, 29 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
