Coach

edit

Hold on. How come a "National football association" has a coach? I mean, a national football association is not a national team of any kind, it is just an association. Look at Brazil's case for example. Dunga is not the coach of Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) otherwise he would be the coach of both male and female teams, which is not true. He's, though, the head coach of the Brazilian national football male team and that's about it. And yet, he's not the coach of the under-20 male team or any other team. I don't know if that makes sense but a football association definitely is not supposed to have a "coach" but rather, a president. Loukinho

Due to no objections so far, I'll be changing the template. Loukinho 14:22, 5 July 2007 (UTC) (PS: I forgot to sign the previous comment but the dates and times are available on the historic.)Reply
I came to this talk page with the exact same concern - it seems someone re-added the coach variable in October. I have just removed it again. -- Chuq (talk) 11:04, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Website

edit

The website field appears to be nonfunctional, but I don't know template code enough to fix it. --Geniac (talk) 19:58, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fields

edit

In a random selection of articles using this template, I see a few with a Coach field and a Chief Executive field. Perhaps they should be added to the code? --Geniac (talk) 19:03, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

See the thread two up from this one for the "coach" attribute. Chief Executive is a possible improvement, though. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 22:43, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

President

edit

Could an additional field be added to be able to specify the title of the head of an association? I am updating Football Federation Australia but there is no option in the infobox to enter the title of Chairman. Hack (talk) 01:34, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

fixed. Frietjes (talk) 16:48, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for that. Hack (talk) 16:54, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Region Confederation with FIFA

edit

Hi. Can I request a proposal for the region-wise based on the confederation affiliation of each association of that point? Take at the look at the Brazilian Football Confederation, the Tuvalu National Football Association, and the Palau Football Association, as three examples. Brazil (example 1), is a member of CONMEBOL, and FIFA, which could include the FIFA ensign on top the region of the confederation (CONMEBOL). This way we can easily identify whether or not they are members of any region confederation or FIFA. Any modifications for my request of this behalf would be appreciated. If there are any questions, leave a reply or drop a line on my talk page. Thanks. Ivan Milenin (talk) 02:24, 28 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

CEO

edit

Any chance of adding a field for CEO, in addition to President? Paladisious (talk) 22:41, 11 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

General Secretary

edit

Needs an additional field for 'General Secretary'. Many organising bodies have such a position, and is usually at the same level of seniority as Vice-President. Militum professio scriniarii (talk) 12:29, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Head2 title, Head2

edit

Can we add parameters "Head2 title" and "Head2"? For example, the President of The FA is Prince William and the current "Head2" is Debbie Hewitt with a "Head2 title" of "Chairwoman". This could also replace parameters "General Secretary" and "Vice-President", and allow "CEO", "Chair", etc. as titles. Or perhaps "Leader2 title" and "Leader2", "Leader3 title" and Leader3", etc. if three or more leaders are notable.

Consider adding a former names parameter.

edit

Consider adding a former names parameter. This is especially true with Football Australia, the governing body of Association football in Australia, whose former names were the Australian Soccer Federation, the Australian Soccer Association, and Football Federation Australia.
