Sorry, but this is a bad idea. The template currently has special microformat markup (| aboveclass = {{#if:{{{Current_members|}}}{{{current_members|}}}{{{Past_members|}}}{{{past_members|}}}|fn org|fn}}) for duos and other groups of comedians); which Infobox person does not have. (Incidentally, your test case page does not include such a case.) Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits13:31, 23 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
(Sorry for the necro, but I was about to ask the same thing, and didn't want to make more noise)
I think this is an argument for making Infobox:Comedy_Group a thing. The idea of infoboxes is to allow a single tweak to be carried over to all pages, and to make it easy for robots to pull out information they want. Making this a completely distinct template leads to duplicated work.
It really doesn't make sense to classify groups of comedians and single comedians under the same infobox in the first place. Users of this infobox that describe multiple comedy groups should be reworked: comedian is a singular noun, it doesn't make sense for it to be used for groups. Users who are describing a single person can continue to use this template, or maybe should just be moved to the generic person template.
The reason I bring this all up is because Greg Davies currently uses the comedian infobox, and his height is notable. Thus, I'd like to add it to the infobox, but because Comedian is a different box, I can't. I'm going to move the page over to a person infobox, since the fields added by Comedian are easily swapped over Calumapplepie (talk) 21:55, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Besides the issue which Andy pointed out, the /sandbox version is missing some parameters which currently exist in the main template: misc, relatives, pre-nominals, parents, memorials, domesticpartner, notable_work, and pseudonym. In addition, the /sandbox contains some parameters which need to be added to the check for unknown parameters: employer, medium, active, and subject. -- Zyxw (talk) 19:00, 23 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
These sound like easily surmountable problems: Add the missing parameters, and wrap the values submitted to the meta-template in the microformat metadata code, as needed. Assuming it is needed (just because metadata is possible, or a microformat exists, doesn't mean we're obligated to use it). — SMcCandlish☏¢ 😼 02:44, 25 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Make the title of the "birth name" parameter in nowrap, or some other way to make it on one line. It looks strange to have it on two lines, as people rarely have names that span two lines in normal zoom levels. Example of issue can be seen at George Carlin. --IWI (talk) 12:04, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
