Medals information doesn't work

There's a problem with the template coding in both the Olympics Medals and World Championships Medals sections. For example, see the Alfred Rainer article as of 18 August 2008.

For Olympics Medals it shows:

0 (0 gold)

For World Championship Medals it shows:

( gold)

Bloated

This infobox is heavily bloated with unnecessary parameters that should be removed. For instance the "Skis/boots/bindings" and the "sponsor" parameters has nothing to do in the infobox.

The country parameter also be removed as it is unclear what it really means. Is it for birth country, where the person is a citizen, where he lives, or the country he competes for. Unambigious in many articles but in for instance Mateja Svet it is confusing.

Many of the parameters should not be mandatory. Not all alpine skiers have compeeted in the olympics and should have a section in the infobox about that. Rettetast (talk) 14:24, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Medals

Image doesn't work as documented

The image parameter documentation specifies that it is the bare file name without the image or file prefix. However, I tried to use it that way at Thomas Sykora and found that it needs to be inserted as a wikilinked file with size specifications in order to appear. Alpine ski racer

the issue that articles for snowboarders, biathletes and other non-alpine skiers has the line "— Alpine ski racer —" in the infobox should be resolved (like Hannah Teter). --Edgars2007 ^{(talk/contribs)} 17:32, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
