The purpose of this edit is to reduce the number of HTTP redirects and to provide increased privacy and security for users by having the template use an up-to-date HTTPS URL for the Homologene link. For example, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=homologene&dopt=HomoloGene&list_uids=2514 generates a 301 Moved Permanently redirect to https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=homologene&dopt=HomoloGene&list_uids=2514 which generates another 301 redirect to https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/homologene?cmd=Retrieve&dopt=HomoloGene&list_uids=2514.
In the template, please change http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=homologene&dopt=HomoloGene&list_uids= to https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/homologene?cmd=Retrieve&dopt=HomoloGene&list_uids= instead. Thanks. --Elegie (talk) 09:28, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
