Oxford spelling editnotice edit

Please add this template to the editnotice: {{British English Oxford spelling|form=editnotice}} — Preceding unsigned comment added by Getsnoopy (talkcontribs)

Please give a reason that this editnotice is required. I can't see any discussion on the article's talk page about this? Why Oxford spelling for this article? I see you changed the spellings on this article earlier this morning, but I need to ensure that it is supported by consensus and is not just your personal preference. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:20, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
@MSGJ: The article had already been tagged with Oxford spelling, I was merely bringing some non-compliant spellings in line. It has had established consistent usage of Oxford spelling from the early stages of the article. Getsnoopy (talk) 20:15, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
That was also added without discussion — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 07:39, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
@MSGJ: That is for the talk page. I think you mean this change on the article page. And it was merely documenting the consistent usage that had been established since very early on in the article, as its history would indicate. As for discussion/consensus, WP:EDITCONSENSUS would indicate that Oxford spelling has been the consensus for the same length of time. Getsnoopy (talk) 22:12, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. Izno (talk) 17:31, 19 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
