Template adjusted

edit

OK, working at the moment. Sorry about the multiple edits to the template, but the boundaries haven't been correct since a few months after this incarnation was created. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 11:10, 23 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand it well enough to fix this one, but we need also to change, e.g.:
100–109 to 100s (decade), and
109–100 BC to 100s BC (decade)

Special case

edit

The template needs to be revised to account for the special case that 911 is not an article about the year 911; that article has the title 911 (year). The template code is sufficiently intricate that I'm not prepared to try to do this myself. :-) --R'n'B (call me Russ) 00:30, 8 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I added a line to the #Test table. wbm1058 (talk) 04:34, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Productive error check: found a conflict with a template on French Wikipedia

edit

The error check I added to flag template calls with a missing parameter {{{2}}} was productive. French Wikipedia has a template fr:Modèle:Dr which apparently produces a tooltip for the meaning "Dr."

This is apparently showing up in some articles that may have been translated from French Wikipedia. I'm removing the brackets from these: {{Dr}}wbm1058 (talk) 13:49, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Template-protected edit request on 20 November 2019

edit

Please replace {{#expr:{{{1}}}<2100}} with {{#expr:{{{1}}}<2090}}, because all the years in the 2090s decade are now redirects per a merge discussion. I used to have the template editor right, but asked for it to be revoked in September last year, and this is my first TPER since then. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 23:50, 20 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Now, please replace {{#expr:{{{1}}}<2090}} with {{#expr:{{{1}}}<2040}}. Years 2040 and later are now redirects to the corresponding decade articles. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 16:45, 6 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Replace 2040 with 2030 please, because it seems that years 2030 to 2039 are now redirects to the 2030s decade article. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 05:00, 13 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

edit

Only decades, centuries, and millennia up to the 2020s, 22nd century, and 3rd millennium, respectively, have articles now. So, could anyone please make the following three changes?

  • Replace {{#expr:{{{1}}}<210}} with {{#expr:{{{1}}}<203}}.
  • Replace {{#expr:{{{1}}}<31}} with {{#expr:{{{1}}}<23}}.
  • Replace {{#expr:{{{1}}}<11}} with {{#expr:{{{1}}}<4}}. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 20:15, 24 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Elliot321: But now, you have made a typo that causes all decades to still be linked at the 21st century article. Please fix this typo by replacing {{#expr:{{{1}}}<230}} with {{#expr:{{{1}}}<203}}. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 21:49, 24 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

edit

The 2030s now have their own decade article again. So, {{#expr:{{{1}}}<203}} should be replaced with {{#expr:{{{1}}}<204}}. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 04:50, 28 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
