User:MelanieN: Would you like to add that he committed suicide ten days after giving his interview to The Wall Street Journal?Zigzig20s (talk) 23:14, 14 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the suggestion, User:Zigzig20s. But no, I would rather not put that on the front page. It's not the most important or interesting thing about him. It is in the article, of course. But it is also a sad and private thing - newsworthy yes, sensational yes, but we are not a tabloid. This was a living person, he left a family - IMO his suicide should be reported but not trumpeted. (Personally I've been worried that people would start spreading conspiracy theories about his death, but so far the article has avoided that kind of vandalism.) --MelanieN (talk) 19:48, 15 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Well, you could add, "He died one week after giving an interview about it to The Wall Street Journal, in a suicide with no reported foul play.". I think we should try to reflect the weight of reliable third-party sources, most of which mention his suicide now that the information has been made public.Zigzig20s (talk) 14:50, 16 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
