"has visions of his own"

edit

Re. "... has visions of his own ...":

  • I'd invite Gerda to defer from innuendo just before a page gets archived.
  • "has visions of his own" isn't too correct: in general the "visions" are rather common among Wikipedia editors (as opposed to individual exceptional visions) and include general Wikipedia guidance such as WP:V and Wikipedia:WikiProject Classical music/Guidelines#Structure. Also, the important point is that I was always open on my "visions" on how to make general Wikipedia guidance work for this article, i.e.: I was sharing whatever visions I had instead of keeping them to myself.
  • "has visions of his own" isn't necessarily negative – imagine the opposite, i.e. someone not being able to develop a single vision of their own: that would be a plant, no? It should not be presented as if "has visions of his own" was an impediment for a successful DYK here. There was nothing wrong with the visions I had (and shared) about this article, and they were certainly not impeding a DYK.
  • Having a hidden agenda is, on the other hand, a kind of "visions of one's own" that are not shared. That was the real problem here: such "visions", not shared while no possible relation with Wikipedia guidance, even completely strange to Wikipedia's intents and purposes, were the direct cause of this DYK failing. --Francis Schonken (talk) 08:38, 5 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about another misunderstanding: I meant "visions" positive, as "palace" also, just too large for me. Thank you. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:45, 5 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Again, there was no misunderstanding: "has visions of his own" was incorrect (see above), was not an impediment for the DYK (see above), and was used as an innuendo (see above). Just take responsibility for your hidden agenda as what curtailed this DYK nomination. --Francis Schonken (talk) 08:49, 5 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
