Source data for Australian population figures

edit

The source data for the latest Australian population figures as stated on Wikipedia are out of date. The current population showing on Wikipedia is under the true population (as illustrated in the Australian Bureau of Statistics' population clock by some 330,000 people and counting). The entry for Australia shows a daily population increase of 550.318, whereas the current figure according to the population clock is 1570.909 (1 additional person every 55 seconds).

This error is being compounded daily as Australia's population growth has accelerated substantially post the pandemic. I would fix this myself if I had the expertise with updating the template, but I am not exactly clear on how the sources are linked which produce the incorrect result and don't want to mess with something I am not competent to fix.

Would greatly appreciate some attention to this.

Thanks
