Reducing information
edit@Lieutenant of Melkor: Why don't you help us find a better source? Voodoo Skies is a fairly reliable source and I don't know what's your problem with it? If you found the better source you desire, then edit the records, not remove them all together beforehand. I've searched a lot and confirmed that Voodoo Skies' records are very accurate. --Mahmudmasri (talk) 22:26, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
- @Mahmudmasri:: That Voodoo Skies does not mention the station and even goes as far as claiming "On average, Cairo's snow is 2 in deep". That alone is enough to deem it as not WP:RS. Also, nearly every country's meteorological agency that I am aware of reports record temperatures with the same degree of precision that daily maxima/minima temperatures are reported. For example, in the U.S., the observed daily high/low is reported to the nearest 1 °F, and so are records. Shall I go on? "My master, Annatar the Great, bids thee welcome!" 22:48, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
- I added in record highs and lows from the NOAA source in the most recent edit. Both have the same degree of precision as the average high and lows. Hopefully, this should solve the problem. Ssbbplayer (talk) 13:19, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
Expanded table
editHow to make the table expanded when included in articles? --Mahmudmasri (talk) 20:27, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- @Mahmudmasri: Set the "collapsed" parameter to {{{collapsed|}}}. Not including it upon translation means automatic expansion: for example, {{New York City weatherbox|collapsed = Y}} versus {{New York City weatherbox}} "My master, Annatar the Great, bids thee welcome!" 21:45, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how to do that. Why did you make box collapsed by default, since it is used in Cairo and Climate of Egypt, in both cases the weather box is intended to be expanded. In its current state, I tried to add |collapsed = Y}} or |collapsed = Yes}} after {{Cairo weatherbox, but both failed. --Mahmudmasri (talk) 21:53, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- That's because you did not set the "collapsed" parameter here to {{{collapsed|}}}; only then will overriding occur. "My master, Annatar the Great, bids thee welcome!" 21:57, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

- I will try to fix it, but I'm not sure if it would work. --Mahmudmasri (talk) 22:40, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
