edit

A centralised proposal regarding the use of superscript notes in navigation boxes is under discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Countries. The disussion will affect this template. Nightw 12:04, 14 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why do the links go to articles for demonyms (most of which are redirects or disambiguation pages) instead of articles for the countries listed? Mr. Granger (talk) 17:45, 1 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

This is a shell template, and should never be used on its own. Using demonyms allows all to link to "X culture" (eg Japanese culture Malaysian culture) or similar. CMD (talk) 13:58, 2 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Ah, makes sense. Thank you. Mr. Granger (talk) 14:11, 2 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

classification

edit

As a cuisine topic, is it better to classify the pages according to the geographical or stylish context than to the degree of sovereignty of which the place the cuisine belongs to? A classification like Central Asian, East Asian, South Asian, West Asian, etc. sounds better to me. Speedyspeedo (talk) 03:12, 16 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Laotian literature has a very nice, long article

edit

So why is it red?

Philologick (talk) 07:20, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

It's red because this template uses "Lao" and an adjective rather than "Laotian", reflecting articles such as Lao cuisine. At a quick glance overall usage seems mixed. I've created the literature redirect. CMD (talk) 07:33, 3 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Egypt is an African country, not Asian

edit

I wanted to delete Egypt from this list, but there seem to be intricate details that interfered with my deletion of only the line for EG. - Maybe someone more knowledgeable can rectify this? Munfarid1 (talk) 19:26, 12 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Template "literature Asian" leads to non-existing articles only

edit

The template called "literature Asian", for example at the end of Syrian_literature, does not lead to this Asian country's literature, as it leads to "literature Syrian", which does not exist. The same seems to be true for all the other countries, listed in red. Can someone who knows how to do this fix the template? Thanks, Munfarid1 (talk) 21:44, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
