Usage edit

To tag an article edit

Place either {{WikiProject East Asia}} or {{WikiProject East Asia|class=|importance=}} at the top of the talk page.

To assess article edit

  1. Fill in the template at the top of the page with the relevant assessment slots. If the template is {{WikiProject East Asia}}, you can add the other sections, so that it looks like {{WikiProject East Asia|class= |importance= }}.
  2. Where it says "class=", fill out the proper class. They are Stub, Start, C, B, A, GA, and FA for articles, and List or FL for lists. Note that in order for articles to receive the ratings A, GA, FA, and FL, they must be peer reviewed and community approved at those rankings. New articles should not be given the ratings A, GA, or FA, and new lists should not be given the rating FL.
Redirects, Disambiguation pages, and Templates, do not get rated on this scale. Categories have the class "redirect" disambuiguation pages have the class "disambig" and templates have the class "template" (all without quotes.)
If you do not feel comfortable deciding on the classes, you don't have to. You can leave the section blank.
  3. Where it says "importance=" fill out the proper level of importance. They are Top, High, Mid, Low, Bottom and NA.
Redirects, Categories, Disambiguation pages, and Templates, do not get rated for importance. If the page in question is one of these things, leave the importance section blank.
If you do not feel comfortable deciding on the importance, you don't have to. You can leave the section blank.
