 Welcome to WikiProject Women in Red (WiR)! Our objective is to turn red links into blue ones. Our project's scope is women's representation on all language Wikipedias (biographies, women's works, women's issues, broadly construed). Did you know that, according to Humaniki, only 19.81% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women? Not impressed? Content gender gap is a form of systemic bias, and this is what WiR addresses. We invite you to participate, whenever you like, in whatever way suits you and your schedule. Usage edit
Designed to ease the creation of new meetup pages for WikiProject Women in Red, for example Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Meetup/300. Just include {{WIR meetup header}} at the top of the page.
It accepts the following optional parameters:
- tagline - include a tagline underneath the heading and date.
- image - an image used to illustrate the page, without the namespace or any image formatting, e.g.
|image=PearlGrigsbyRichardson1919.png. If no image is specified then the appropriate image from Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/events is used, and if none is defined then the default is File:Women in Red logo.svg - caption - a caption to display below the image, e.g.
|caption=P is for [[Pearl Grigsby Richardson]]
