This template is used to convert abbreviations and acronyms for the names of tropical cyclone seasons into their full name, as used in the titles of the season articles on Wikipedia. Common and uncommon abbreviations, acronyms and shortenings are all supported, as well as other shortenings which could conceivably be used by those unfamiliar with the conventions of WikiProject Tropical Cyclones.
Usage edit
This template takes only one unnamed parameter, which is an acronym, abbreviation or shortening of a basin name. The transclusion syntax is as follows:

where INPUT is replaced by a valid entry from the following table:
