This template populates 2 adjacent columns of win-loss tables: first % then W–L. It's specifically crafted for use in tennis records pages. (The original name was "Tennis WL table 2columns" but was shortened to be more conducive for diff inspections, which can be frequent during busy tennis events.)

The parameters are:

  • dec: number of decimal places to display in %
  • symbol: toggle % symbol on or off
  • W: wins
  • L: losses

Example: Replaced plain text columns with this template. Note several things about this edit:

  • Only need 1 decimal place for all entries, except adding a 2nd decimal to resolve a tie for 3rd place
  • Whitespace around the parameters, both for clear visibility and reducing likelihood of error during updates
  • Hidden note containing next 2 players, so they can be easily swapped in/out as needed

Special case: in the event of an exact tie, special table formatting is needed. See this edit for an example.

Editing advice: After making a W or L change, click the Show preview button before saving changes to ensure that the table is sorted properly. The preview will show the new % calculation. Changing W or L can alter the list ranking or create the need for extra decimal precision to resolve ties.
