  • Article created from scratch by Wasted Time R on March 26–30, and is plenty long enough.
  • The article is well-sourced (even for uncontroversial claims) and the author demonstrates careful consideration of the sources with a footnote on the Center's dates.
  • Author has completed a quid pro quo DYK review.
  • Allow me to humbly suggest that the hook could be revised for clarity, and that it might be advisable to choose a different fact. It's a little hard to read; I'm not sure it will grab the reader's attention; and it's a bit of a simplification to say the theory would not be developed in the ivory tower. I might suggest

::* Alt 1 ... that the Yale Labor and Management Center studied bargaining units in the real world to develop theories of industrial relations?

  • I'm not convinced the above version is all that much more exciting, but maybe it is more precise and easier to read. What do you think, Wasted Time R? Thank you for this quality contribution. Sorry for the delay in responding – I was away from WP for a while – and thanks for the kind words on the article. The problem with ALT1 is that it implies that bargaining units were the major thing the center studied, when in fact it was just one of several things they studied. How about
ALT2: ... that the goal of the Yale Labor and Management Center of the 1940s–50s was to study real-world interactions to devise an explanatory theory of behavior in industrial relations?
That gets across the idea without getting the 'ivory tower' involved. Wasted Time R (talk) 03:43, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
