  • Length, sourcing, QPQ, hooks, close paraphrase check, date (should be 10 June, but ok) checks out. I somehow prefer hook ALT1 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soman (talkcontribs) 20:12, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
@Theleekycauldron, Soman, and AirshipJungleman29: I attempted to suggest additional hooks. Please check. Thanks RV (talk) 06:04, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
ALT2 is a no-go, expresses an opinion in wikivoice. Lukewarm on ALT3, possibly workshoppable? I mean, is there anything distinct about this subject, or is it exactly what you'd expect from the tin? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 06:06, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
Yes! It is distinct. You should not be apprehensive about its distinction. Thanks RV (talk) 07:21, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
All right, so how is it distinct? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 07:35, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
The subject is a distinct federal law that exclusively governs labeling requirements for textile materials made of wool. It plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and informative labeling for wool-related items. It is important to note that there is a separate law, the Textile Fiber Products Identification Act, which applies to non-wool textile products. Thanks RV (talk) 15:25, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
okay, i'm sure it's distinct enough to avoid getting merged, but that doesn't really address the fact that there's nothing much special about it. it's a law like lots of laws, about fabrics. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 18:24, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
The composition and naming of fabrics are specifically defined by two important laws: the Textile Fiber Products Identification Act and the Wool Products Labeling Act. It is worth noting that there are not numerous laws dedicated to textiles, which makes the Wool Labeling Act particularly significant. Thanks RV (talk) 01:26, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
If that's the most interesting thing that can be said about the article, I think this DYK nomination may never go anywhere. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 10:36, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
DYK is to present facts not interesting things. RV (talk) 13:50, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
WP:DYK#gen3a requires that hooks be intruiging to those who do not have special knowledge of the subject. I must agree with AirshipJungleman29, I think this nomination should be closed. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 19:26, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
@Theleekycauldron: Closing the nomination does not appear fair, considering that the article has already been approved and meets the eligibility criteria for WP:DYKCRIT. ALT1, which features an intriguing easter egg-like wording, was approved by @Soman:. Additionally, you were also considering ALT3. Could you kindly assist in finding an alternative solution? Thanks RV (talk) 03:00, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
@Theleekycauldron: Added ALT4. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks RV (talk) 02:25, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
@Theleekycauldron: Just a soft reminder, in case you missed that. Regards RV (talk) 05:53, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
I'm promoting Alt3. --evrik (talk) 19:09, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
