• ... that Oregon state legislator Vernon A. Forbes drowned while fishing in a Central Oregon lake?

Source: Evening Herald article, dated 8 July 1918 says: "Vernon A. Forbes, state representative from Deschutes County … drowned at Crescent Lake last night when the canvas boat in which they were fishing was swamped."

• Article is new enough, long enough, neutral, and well referenced. Hook is interesting and verified with supplied newspaper article. QPQ is done. No copyvio detected.
