  • If the Alt is considered, I would suggest you switch "cashier at a Big Lots" so it comes first. Otherwise, it could be ambiguous as to whether he was a teacher at a Big Lots as well.--Epeefleche (talk) 21:24, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Actually, hooks are supposed to be interesting, so "boring" is a reason not to approve a hook. Needs a review of the ALT1 hook; if the original hook is deemed insufficiently interesting, it should be struck. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:08, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
  • I will withdraw from this review, as I find alt1 also uninteresting (many people have two mundane jobs), however I would feel bad for sinking a second hook for such a subjective reason. Maybe another reviewer will find the hook interesting enough. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 00:33, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
  • New reviewer needed, who should consider whether ALT1 is indeed uninteresting; if another ALT is proposed in the interim, that should be considered as well. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:59, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Well... "interesting" is a matter of opinion, but how about these:
ALT2: ... that screenwriter Tom Jankiewicz collapsed after a screening of his film Grosse Pointe Blank, and died soon after?
ALT3: ... that Tom Jankiewicz wrote a screenplay which he described as a combination of Enter the Dragon and Pleasantville?

I think ALT2 isn't brilliant, but we've used much worse.--Carabinieri (talk) 12:41, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
