Tiverton fire of 1731 edit
... that the chief cause of the Tiverton fire of 1731 appears to have been the prevalence of straw thatched roofs which spread the fire rapidly, worsened by the effects of a strong northerly wind?

The DYK criteria of newness, length and neutrality are met and the hooks are appropriately sourced. I prefer any of the alternative hooks as being snappier than the original one, especially as the actual cause was a fire in a baker's shop. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:08, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
