The Terror Factor edit

Created/expanded by 72.74.198.97 (talk). Self nominated at 19:02, 14 October 2013 (UTC).

  • New enough, long enough, adequately sourced. However, the plot summary is incomplete. It should summarise the whole story from start to finish, and statements like "It is here that their night of terror begins..." should be avoided in favour of direct language. Now, the hooks: the original is, in my view, not very interesting, and the article's claim that the film took seven years to make needs an inline citation directly after it. ALT1 is likewise not directly supported in the article; footnote 4 verifies that the film won the award, but not that 40 other films were competing for the title. ALT2 is interesting but well over the 200 character limit, and while the article confirms that Mederios replaced the protagonist, it doesn't state that his role was initially a cameo. These issues will need to be addressed before the nomination is approved. DoctorKubla (talk) 08:06, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
  • I've fixed the hooks but I'm not really comfortable writing plot spoilers. I'd rather let another editor handle that if it's really necessary. 72.74.219.187 (talk) 17:47, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Well, okay – it is necessary, but I'm not going to insist on it as a DYK requirement. ALT2 is still too long (the character limit includes spaces), but it's my favourite of the three. I'll have a go at bringing it under the limit.
  • ALT3: ... that Garry Mederios, writer-director of The Terror Factor, was forced to become the film's main protagonist when its original star abruptly left the project?
I've left out the bit about Mederios having a cameo role because I can't find a way to say it concisely and grammatically, but I think the hook still works. What do you think? DoctorKubla (talk) 20:23, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Sure, that's fine. 72.74.219.187 (talk) 20:50, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Okay. New reviewer needed to approve ALT3. DoctorKubla (talk) 07:39, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
ALT3 is cited to DVD commentary for the film. Other stuff checks out. Thingg 19:50, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
