The Fifteen Whispered Prayers edit

Created by Hadi.anani (talk). Nominated by Mhhossein (talk) at 05:47, 2 September 2014 (UTC).

  • New enough and long enough. However, it doesn't seem complete enough, even for a "start" article. Basically, the article says that Imam Sajjad wrote the prayers, they may be part of the Al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya collection, and there is a numbered list of the prayers. The Authenticity section is very sparse on facts, and the quotes from the scholars seem inconsequential. The Importance section doesn't seem to be talking about the importance of the prayers at all. I'm not sure why you put in that note; it is unsourced and hard to follow.
  • From a formatting point of view, I moved the page to The Fifteen Whispered Prayers, as this is the English Wikipedia. I put the Arabic name, Munajat, in the lead. Regarding the references, sources in Arabic or Farsi should be titled in their native language, and also dated. I inserted the formatting text; all you have to do is fill it in. No QPQ needed for non-self-nomination. Yoninah (talk) 23:36, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
@Yoninah: I think the article meets the criteria now, as the creator has made some editions in accordance with your suggestions. Mhhossein (talk) 12:12, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the notice. I've been following the page creator's edits over the last few days. But I'm having a hard time understanding the text, especially the whole paragraph under Historical mission of Imam's prayers. I think it needs a copyedit by someone who knows English grammar. It's also unclear to me how the information under Authenticity has anything to do with authenticating the prayers. (Perhaps this section should be titled "History" instead?) And is the quote box quoting one of the 15 Prayers, or something else? Yoninah (talk) 12:27, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
@Yoninah: I think Strivingsoul can solve the problem with the language of the article. I noticed his grammatical edition in the article. Regarding your suggestion for changing one of the subtitles, I'll discuss the problem with the "Authenticity" section in the article talk page. I think quote box is quoting one part of the 15 prayers, This can also be mentioned as a question in the talk page. Mhhossein (talk) 13:17, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
@Yoninah: As you see, the mentioned editions are done. Thanks to Strivingsoul, the language is also enhanced too. Mhhossein (talk) 17:03, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Thanks for taking time reviewing my article. I applied some other changes to the text so that it would be clearer that before. hadi.anani(talk) — Preceding undated comment added 05:38, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
  • OK, I did another edit and I think the page is in good shape now. The only thing left to do is add a cite right after the sentence containing the hook fact, and then we'll be ready to go. Yoninah (talk) 21:35, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
  • The citation given for the hook fact is just a translation of the first prayer. It doesn't say anything about the prayers having to do with one's present mood or feelings. Yoninah (talk) 10:59, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
@Yoninah:You are right. This citation does not include the hook. Can we propose another hook? Mhhossein (talk) 16:26, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Certainly. Yoninah (talk) 18:34, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
@Yoninah: I found a Ref for the current hook. This fact is probably derived from a book which is in Farsi whose author is Mehdi Shojaee. The google translated description of the page is here and here here. The hook is exactly mentioned there. Mhhossein (talk) 05:46, 30 September 2014 (UTC)

Some references are also added by the page creator. Mhhossein (talk) 07:53, 30 September 2014 (UTC)

  • OK, the first ref indeed verifies the information in the text. Could you add the Farsi URL (not the Google translate) to the citation, so we'll have an online link? (I'm not sure which source it goes with, since it's in Farsi.) Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 12:05, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
@Yoninah: The citation is now inserted. Mhhossein (talk) 04:50, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
  • Thank you. New enough, long enough, well referenced, foreign-language sources AGF. Foreign-language hook ref AGF and cited inline. No QPQ needed for non-self-nom. Original hook good to go. Yoninah (talk) 13:20, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
@Yoninah: You're welcome, and thank you for your careful review and nice suggestions. By the way, when will it move to the prep area? Mhhossein (talk) 05:26, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
