Tectarius coronatus

edit
  • ... that the coronate prickly-winkle is a marine mollusk but can be found on limestone cliffs well above high water mark? Source: "Also on limestone cliffs. High in the intertidal zone, well above high levels of neap tide"

5x expanded by Cwmhiraeth (talk). Self-nominated at 07:29, 4 March 2018 (UTC).

  • The hook is interesting and well-referenced. No policy violations, article is long enough, hook is formatted correctly, QPQ is done. Unfortunately, the article is not new and has not been expanded at least fivefold (it's closer to twofold). If possible, expand the article to make the DYK eligible. • @Ergo Sum: It was a bit short and I have added a couple of sentences. By the length measure we use at DYK, it was 404 characters before I started expanding it, and it is now 2085 characters. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:23, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
  • According to the DYKcheck tool recommended at WP:DYK, this article has been five-fold expanded since March 1. As Cwmhiraeth pointed out, it has been expanded from 404 characters to 2085, which is just over fivefold. I believe this is good to go. Boomur [] 01:29, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
  • @BlueMoonset: this article appeared as a bolded link on Picture of the Day on March 3. Is it still eligible for DYK? Yoninah (talk) 21:46, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Yoninah, the DYK criteria don't say anything about a Picture of the Day appearance being a potential disqualification. You can inquire on the DYK talk page to get other opinions as to whether it should, but this is the first time I've ever heard mention of it. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:21, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
  • OK, thanks. Restoring tick per Boomur's review. Yoninah (talk) 12:22, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
