  • Hi Allen3; unfortunately we were aware of this rule already, however, as I previously stated, the course we're in required us to submit the article to DYK by Tuesday afternoon (before we were expected to have added the fruits of our research to the article). I apologize for this breach in etiquette, however, our grade depends on our submission, and we'll be adding to the article over the next week and a half, though.. I'm not sure what procedure for dealing with this kind of thing is (deletion, reversion or otherwise) but I've screencaptured this conversation so I have proof that my group submitted our article. Once again, I apologize, if we had more control over our situation it would have happened differently. --IchiniSanti (talk) 17:44, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
  • I'd suggest you guys take advantage of the new eligibility criteria 1g and nominate this as a Good Article (GA) after you've finished adding all the research. The rules now allow GAs passed within the past 5 days to be nominated for DYK, so you'll get a two in one deal. —Bloom6132 (talk) 21:32, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
  • In the two weeks since the original nomination, the article has been expanded to 18117 characters of readable prose (~1.32x expansion) but is still well short of level needed to qualify for a 5x expansion. No indication that the article has been submitted to WP:GAC and expansion efforts for the nominators appears to have ceased by the due date of the class project that prompted this nomination. --Allen3 talk 12:11, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
