State road D915 (Turkey) edit

Created by CeeGee (talk). Self-nominated at 09:05, 31 January 2016 (UTC).

  • Date, length checks out. Close paraphrase not found in spot check. Not sure if dangerousroads.org is 100% WP:RS. In [1] reads "The most spectacular of Black Sea mountain passes negotiates a 700- metre wall through 22 hairpin bends. Below them is the wild rainforest of the Of uplands; above is the bleak and treeless plateau of Eastem Turkey, a very different world." --Soman (talk) 09:50, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
  • I understand your concern as the number of hairpin turns is 22 and not 29 as stated in the article and the hook. However, the number 29 is not only given by the ref dangerousroads, which you suspect of being "not reliable", also by the local newspaper Çaykara Gezetesi and the notable newspaper CNN Türk. Please reconsider it. CeeGee 10:37, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
  • After waiting four days for a reply from the reviewer Soman I assume that he/she is ignoring my above comment and is no more interested in taking any further action. I had left a talkback post on his/her talk page to remind him/her, and I can see from his/her contribıtions log that he/she is active elsewhere. Therefore, I kindly request reviewing by any other person. Thanks. CeeGee 04:50, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
  • This nomination has failed, since the nominator is not taking action to work with criticism. Enough time has passed, and he has received a note on this talk page.—♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 16:36, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
  • @Amberrock: It's not true that the nominator has not taken any action against the critisim of the reviewer as can be seen just above in my notice. It's the reviewer, who failed to respond to my argument. I asked for a re-review and nothing happened so far. Anyway, I change the hook as follows, which meets the critisim: CeeGee 02:19, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
  • New reviewer needed. Per WT:DYK thread on this nomination, I have re-opened it for discussion. The nominator did respond to the initial comment. When that editor did not subsequently respond, nominator gave the turn-around tick for a new review. This nomination still has not been properly reviewed. — Maile (talk) 13:29, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
Article is long enough, nomination was placed in time. ALT1 is interesting and both in the source supplied and in an additional Yahoo Travel source I added, which places it amongst compatriots as the infamous Yungas Road. Common English would suggest "Of–Bayburt road" in the text, though. No copyvios detected. The "Itinerary" section is unsourced, but as a list it doesn't affect the prose size so that issue can be resolved by removing the table. I'm uncomfortable about the article's title (compare and contrast with Template:Did you know nominations/A4061 road), but if and when this hits the main page that might be an issue to discuss then.
