Southwestern North American megadrought
- ... that the southwestern North American megadrought that began in 2000 is the driest 22-year period in the region since 800? Source: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/14/climate/western-drought-megadrought.html

- The article is new enough, long enough, neutral and not copyvio. I couldn't access the NY Times article, but the hook claim can be verified also using Nature Climate Change. The hook is interesting and formatted and written appropriately. The nominator is exempt from the QPQ requirement. Good to go. —Kusma (talk) 09:44, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
