- ... that Silver Creek was referred to by two different names on the same USGS map—and the locals had never heard of either name?

Nominated three days after the article was moved into the mainspace and meets the length guidelines. QPQ has been done. Earwigs showed a low percentage of copyright violation and no close paraphrasing was found. Hook is very interesting, neutral and short enough. It is verified by a reliable inline source. Good to go.
