Shepherd with a Flute edit

  • ... that the Shepherd with a Flute has had his shirt changed, and is now attributed to Titian rather than Giorgione? "...many scholars have stood by the traditional attribution to Giorgione, while some have suggested that it must have been created by one of his many followers working from (and perhaps freely adapting) a lost original. It is likely that Titian painted this work based on an original conceived by Giorgione." - Royal Collection page. For the shirt (para 2 of lead) see Lucy Whitaker, Martin Clayton, The Art of Italy in the Royal Collection; Renaissance and Baroque, Royal Collection Publications, p. 198, 2007, ISBN 978 1 902163 291

5x expanded by Johnbod (talk). Self-nominated at 16:43, 23 December 2018 (UTC).

  • 5x expanded, in time, long enough, sourced, inline/offline hook citations accepted AGF, no apparent copyvios, QPQ done. Not a DYK issue Johnbod, but the body of the article could due with some expansion if you feel like further pursuing this article, especially as some information is contained only in the lead. --Usernameunique (talk) 03:35, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
