  • ... that the cover of the 1890s feminist periodical Shafts (pictured) depicted a woman shooting an arrow labelled "wisdom", "truth" and "justice"?

5x expanded by 97198 (talk), Eric Corbett (talk). Nominated by 97198 (talk) at 15:52, 5 September 2014 (UTC).

  • The article has been expanded 5x, and was nominated here within seven days after the expansion (on the same day). The hook is cited with an inline citation to a reliable source in the article. Every paragraph (except for the lead) has at least one inline citation. Spot checking for copyvio reveals no problems. NorthAmerica1000 00:07, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
I think the other cover (of number 8) will make a better DYK image as it has more contrast. Belle (talk) 00:55, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
That works: the hook is applicable to either image, as is the way it's worded in the article. Furthermore, the darker image also has the words "wisdom", "truth" and "justice" in it (next to the tip of the arrow, although not in that order). One matter is the word ordering of the words next to the arrow, which are in a different order on the cover than appears in the hook. The hook is still fine, but I propose a slightly more accurate ALT1 with the darker image below. NorthAmerica1000 01:13, 6 September 2014 (UTC)

ALT1 ... that the cover of the 1890s feminist periodical Shafts (pictured) depicted a woman shooting an arrow labelled "wisdom", "justice" and "truth"?

ALT1 is fine. Passing with that and the rest of the review per Northamerica1000 above. Belle (talk) 01:34, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
