Source is Kane "The first electric fan was invented by Dr. Schuyler Skaats Wheeler, who in 1882 placed a fan or propeller on the shaft of an electric motor.

  • This looks OK to me. The article is new enough, long enough and reliably sourced. The hook is interesting and is likewise sourced. I've made a few changes to fix a handful of minor issues but otherwise it's fie. Overall I'd say it's good to go. Prioryman (talk) 23:17, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

Not to mess with a machine that works, but would this hook be better:
*ALT1 ... that Schuyler Skaats Wheeler invented the first electric fan, electric elevator and electric fire engine?
Or is this lilly gilding?
