Source is Kane "The first electric fan was invented by Dr. Schuyler Skaats Wheeler, who in 1882 placed a fan or propeller on the shaft of an electric motor.

This looks OK to me. The article is new enough, long enough and reliably sourced. The hook is interesting and is likewise sourced. I've made a few changes to fix a handful of minor issues but otherwise it's fie. Overall I'd say it's good to go. Prioryman (talk) 23:17, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
