Saw Omma of Pinya edit

  • ... that a dying King Thadominbya of Ava in 1367 allegedly ordered the execution of his chief queen Saw Omma, chief queen of three previous Pinya kings, lest she should pass to another man?

  • Is it possible to do something with her reply? That was gold; I literally laughed out loud. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 11:10, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Hmmm, how about: ALT1: ... that when told by Cmdr. Nga Nu that he had been ordered by a dying King Thadominbya of Ava to kill her lest she should pass to another man, Queen Saw Omma retorted "Nga Nu, aren't you a man?"
  • A bit too lengthy. How about "... that Queen Saw Omma, when told she was to be killed lest she pass to another man, replied to her assassin "aren't you a man"? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 12:50, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
  • It's succinct. I'd just tweak it a bit: ALT2: ... that Queen Saw Omma, when told she was to be killed lest she pass to another man, replied to her would-be assassin "Nga Nu, aren't you a man?" Hybernator (talk) 02:47, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
  • New enough, long enough, hook fact is interesting and cited. AGF on offline source. No close paraphrasing found. ALT3 good to go! — Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:56, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
